Check it out...make a difference. When I first got a glimpse of the situation in Africa as far as AIDS, I was moved. To be truthful I found out through the Bono MTV Special. I was in tears and deeply moved. Tonight's Primetime Live interview with Brad Pitt was along those same lines. Showing his trip to Ethiopia, was eye opening.
All it takes is $16 to put a kid through school for a whole year there. they desperately need medicine, and those kids want to be educated. It's not like most of the countries we live in that we just take such liberties for granted. Brad Pitt went on to say how when he went to the hospitals to visit the children he'd be walking and feel a small hand reach out and grab a hold of him. and how he saw a baby that looked so ill, and all he did was place his hand on the babies chest and a smile of elation came over the childs face and it broke his heart...how merely the human touch can do so much.
Maybe i'm just a mushball, but when I hear things like that it's moving. It makes me realize I shouldnt complain about minimal things, these people have it so much worse, and yet still have songs about hope, and still manage to have smiles on their faces. It's amazing.
Anyways if you want to learn more about the organization go to that site. I was just thinking u all might want to read up on it, it's got some interesting facts....
Everyone can help...even just ONE single person...
