I'm speechless... That poor guy probably laid there and bleed to death for a long time. That kid deserves to die, no question about it, in the same way too.

The suspended sentence given to Qui means he could spend the rest of his life behind bars, although it could be reduced to 15 years for good behaviour.

15 years? Geez. I could get 15 years for smacking some old lady.

You know, they're called 'games' for a reason.

I wish more people realized this.

I doubt it, internet cafes are open there 24 hours a day and there's more than double, maybe triple the amount then North America.. You can't tell me all those netcafes are just being used to surf.

South Korea had (no idea if it's still in effect) a curfew because of Lineage.

In this case, Mr Zhu did offer to hand over the cash but Mr Qui lost patience and stabbed him with "great force" according to media reports.

And he still killed the guy? What the hell's his problem? Even if it was a valid reason to be that upset to start with, which it is not, the guy offered to make up! I just don't understand people....

Most everyone does. Those who don't are mostly insane anyway.

Agreed. It's just that I cringe everytime I see someone imply that this kind of behavior is in any way common among gamers.

It's not news if it's happy, I guess.

People generally enjoy gossip. So of course, I look at the news media as a giant gossip whore.

I believe that's true, from a certain pov. Only in my opinion, gossip first occurred when Adam and Eve were talking to the snake. ;)

Yeah, with a SWORD. Not a swift gunshot but a forced entry of a sharp metal blade into your body...

Plus, the guy was willing to pay the money back or whatever but he still killed him like that.

But that IS common among gamers. One time a few friends and I were playing Halo, and my friend was screen watching, so I stabbed him.

Seriously, though, I'm just surprised he hasn't gotten the death penalty. In China, they kill people for things like theft and poaching... I'd think murder would get him an automatic execution.

Also, I haven't been able to confirm that the actual stabbing was done with a sword, either from the article linked or other articles on the same incident.

Stupid video games. How many more people have to die before the government and the makers of these tools of the devil will see that they are brainwashing people into KILLERS? Had that game not existed, that poor poor chinese boy would still be with us today. Every time I hear that someone plays video games, I cringe, knowing that THEY could be the next Jeffrey Dahmer.

Ban videogames NOW!
