So I bought GreenDay - Dookie for $5 at WalMart yesterday and started listening to it today. And I realized that it's uncut! I thought Wally World censored all the music they sold.
I can't really complain though, $5, GreenDay, good music, no blocked lyrics, yay!

Not really. They edit out any languange and questionable lyrics for moral issues.

Maybe because the CD is so old, they didn't get an editied version, or maybe because it never had a warning sticker of any kind when it was released, they didn't think to make a special Walmart edit of it.
Pissed Off?

yeah they won't sell it if it has the warning label... if there is no label they will sell it even if it has naughty words

speaking of dookie...

Yeah, CDs that have little enough langauge to get by without the sticker don't get edited.

Yeah, the Walmarts around here only sell censored CDs. Violent movies and video games are still ago, though you do have to be 17 to buy them.

does anyone know if there is an australian equivilent of walmart.

please make sure it has the kind of shove our morals in the customers face kind of style.

then agian, in a country where the consumer rights watchdog even sees things like regions on console games as being unfair, I doubt they would let a store sell cencored versions of cds but not let the customer know and refuse to refund it if the cd turns out to be censored.

They say "Edited" on them if it's been edited.

Apparantly, even Walmart employees refuse to listen to Slipknot.

And they're damn right.
