"SkyCity" tower that was proposed for Tokyo... it's 3000 ft tall, and has like.. parks and stuff in it... it mostly resembles the "Arcologys" from Sim City 2000.... basically it's a city all in one tower.... Tokyo is so overpopulated, they have discussed that a vertical city may be more efficient... u can find info about it on google.. (the reason I made it is to see how big a 3do could be.... obviously 3000 ft tall is a bit much.... also, I has just seen a program about this city the night before on the discovery channel... it was quite cool)

Sky City was one huge tower... but at the end of the program they discussed linking 3 of these HUGE towers togerther making a HUGE building that is it's own city of almost 100,000 people... (one tower will make homes for 32,000 people... plus a number of visitors and employees - Sky City will have it's own jobs...)

Sounds kind of like a prison to me, if you read the whole article tell me if you feel the same way. Living in a big city all your life that has a stadium and schools and jobs in it? Thats just weird.

You wouldn't have to stay in it any more than you'd have to stay in the city you live in now your whole life, which, by the way, also contains jobs, recreation, living space, sports, schooling, etc...

Japan's been building skyscrapers that withstand earthquakes for years. This would probably be even stabler because it's got three towers linked together.

Yes, they took into conciderations earthquakes, the extreme weight of the building... the wind sway on the building.. fires... they pretty much have everything covered...

it's strange the way u use the word "crowded".... 32,000 people can LIVE into it... meaning no more than that can live in it... that is the max.... but there will still be people working there, that do not live there, tourists... everything... so there's really no way you could be crowded there.. the living area is about 1/3 of the space that sky city has to offer...
