Good movie? eh....
Fun movie? Yes!

To me the movie was broken up like this- Parts were when the characters talked and unveiled the plot. The other parts were where everything was explodign and being blown apart.

Out of the parts where people were just talking, I enjoyed when Vince Vaughn was in the scene... and a few of the little chats they had before all hell broke loose.

The action was marvelous, although I wouldnt have minded a little bit more.

I thought the story kinda sucked... I mean... they never really talked about the agencies each of them worked for. You just know they are both spies of some sort. Brad Pitts organization is just some silly computer, and Angelina Jolies is a bunch of chicks with computers.

When the movie was good, it was good. When they got around to talking.... it was sooo boring. Hell... one guy by me even fell asleep and you could hear him snoring.

The action was amazing, dont get me wrong. Brad Pitt is a good actor, and Vince Vaughn is hilarious. Angelina Jolie was a plus too :D

I suggest either seeing it at matinee when its cheaper, or waiting for DVD.

I thought it was a good movie, and very fun. The action was great, and Angelina Jolie was much more attractive than most of her other roles (i.e. giant lips in Tomb Raider). Her acting seemed more natural as well, not exaggerated. But it is just an action comedy.

By the way, the agencies aren't the focus at all...John's boss isn't a computer, that's just a cover image and voice for the real boss. That's pretty typical of assasin or spy organizations in movies like this...

Yes, angelina didnt suck at acting.

And yea I understand the computer thing, I just thought it would be nice to know WHY they were conflicting agencies... more specifically... what kind of agencies they were (other than "go blow up those helocopters") I dunno. it kinda bugged me

Yeah I really agree, MBeggar, the movie would have gelled a lot more if you knew more about the agencies each of them worked for. I was expecting some big showdown between Mr & Mrs Smith and the two constantly alluded to bosses at the end. Hell let's face it, the only way they were getting away was to kill literally everyone in their agencies.

I was expecting it to be a lot like True Lies, but it so did not deliver. Shame, such a promising premise for a movie.

Without Angelina to look at Mr & Mrs Smith would have been a snore-fest.

The dialouge at the beginning was intentionally supposed to be very very bland. It was supposed to show how John and Jane really don't love each other anymore, and can't even have a good conversation.

I liked the movie a lot. The action was great (my favorite part had to be when John took the golf club, jumped on the car, and smacked him up with it). There were some pretty good one liners, and I thought Vince Vaughn was great in his role.

I got a kick out of this movie, defintely a good way to kill a few hours. The action scenes rocked and the acting was not too shabby at all. Especially Vince Vaughn, he totally stole the show in the few scenes he was in. But I totally agree about being left in the dark about the agencies they worked for, it would have been nice to know a bit more about them.

It wasn't so much not KNOWING about them, but that they almost set you up to THINK you were going to find out about them. Like when the kid tries to walk into the elevator at the beginning, and the secretary says no one gets to see the boss...it pans up to his office and you see his reflection on a video screen. That implies you're going to see more of him later. There's also the unsolved mystery of how they got away without taking down the bosses or the entire organization. Granted, it's not the focus of the film at all, but it was a gap.

That did bug me right when I saw it, but it's almost as if I totally forgot about it once the movie was over. Now that does bug me. It was probably some deleted scene or something, and it was a result of bad editing.

I enjoyed the movie, but it's not one I'm probably going to watch again. It was totally disposable entertainment. Pitt and Jolie had genuine chemistry, as well as numerous one liners that had me laughing quite hard. The action scenes were filmed with style, as well as humor, but that isn't exactly something new. The little plot inconsistancies I care not for, seeing as how I wasn't expecting this to be Memento. This movie filled the role of getting warmed up for the bigger movies, Batman Begins, war of the worlds, etc etc. Those latter two I cannot wait to see. Gonna be amazing.

I enjoyed it :) It was entertaining and had two beautiful people in it. What's not to like (other than Brad Pitts' haircut :p )

I thought it was kinda funny, failry entertaining, and then it just went stupid with the action.
Like when she swervers the car around and shoots like 5 times to take down the two bullet proof cars, that was dumb.
And the final action scene when everyones trying to kill them at once? That was just terrible.
I know bad guys as a rule cant shoot for crap, but come on, thats just ridiculous.
Give ME the bazook and I'll take them down first shot garunteed, lets see them duck it when I make it blow up at their feet.
I would've enjoyed the film more if they didnt go stupid on the action late-movie, it was good till then =\
