I was just sitting in the presence of Spinal Tap themselves

I went to go see a showing of Spinal Tap at the Newport Int'l Film Festival, and at the end of showing Christopher Guest( Nigel, guitarist), Micheal Mclean(David, frontman) and the bassist (Derek), all came out for a Q&A session. Great suprise, they were all hilarious, great, great film makers as well. I was really amazed to see how many people had just seen it for their first time.

So.....anyone else a Spinal Tap fan?

Amazing movie. I'm actually surprised how many people don't like it. I think I find so much more humor in it after being in a band myself.

Have it on DVD. It kicks ***.

The intro to the menu on the DVD is really one of the best parts to the whole damned thing. XD

Seriously, the commentary on the DVD along is worth buying the DVD. It's almost as funny as the movie itself.

I thought it was even funnier. :D

Like the part with the sores on their faces--"we had those for one day. ONE DAY! And that's the shot he puts in there..." etc.

Yeah, I rented the DVD. The movie is brilliant, but the intro to the menu is the best part. :D
