PLEASE NOTE: I am not asking you if you think we should have a games forum. I am asking if you would actually use it regularly.

A games forum would be a place where people could post server addresses, organize mp matches, etc. It wouldnt be limited to just JK/JO/JA, as we've had community matches in other games such as CS:S. Feel free to use this thread to post your thoughts and ideas about having such a forum.

It would not be for games discussion... that would still go in the discussion forum. It would simply be for organizing MP games.

Yes, I would use it, I voted without reading anything else. Disscussion forums is great for cool exciting news, and game forums would be great to disscuss games. Excellent idea!

I probably wouldn't just because I don't play games too often anymore. And also that my pc is a poop.

See, if I got myself into the habit of checking and playing more MP games, well, then yes, I would use it loads. See what games are going on and whatnot. I wouldn't be posting anything of my own, as I can't host, so yeah.

I'd use it for game discussion and stuff. It would be a goiod place to post about new demos and such as well.

I don't think it's supposed to be used for games discussion, it's supposed to be for organizing games. Since I don't ever play games online, I vote no.

People will probably lose interest planning games and such in that forum. And probably it won't work well (because its not like a chat). I vote no.

I think a games bulletin board if anything might be a better idea. If it's just for announcing servers, times, putting up IPs, etc, simply make an area where one can post up "this server will be up at so and so time at so and so IP address, password if necessary." Then anyone who wants to join can, and there's no need for scuffling around trying to negotiate a game.

I actually did read the thread and my understanding of it was a place where people would post "game at blah blah post here if you want to organize" and people would talk "ok I'm open at this time, I can play here, no let's play this map, blah blah" and actually plan games. I think that's a bad idea.

I think people shouldn't have the option of negotiating. Just, post "ok I'm hosting a server, this will be the IP, time, rotation, password, done." and whoever wants to join can join without the scuffling.

The latter would work far better in a chat than a forum. Having a forum for it would just bloat threads with a huge amount of unecessary responses.

I dont know. It'd only be good if people were to host games for long periods of time. Posting a message, then ending the game an hour later seems pointles.

I wouldn't imagine that there would be too many threads in it anyway. Most of the stuff could just land in the discussion forum. Massassi CS:S matches have been organized in the d-forum before . . . .
