Ive had a rather good turn up in luck lately, My 84 Camaro is almost fixed(to driveable condition, havent had $$$ to do what i want with it yet.) and I'm going to buy a 92 Camaro for $500, all I'll have to do to it is replace the front end, which i may end up taking off of my 84 and switch the insurance... then just gradually fix them both up.

Arnt cars great? especially older camaros. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Well my dad bought me my first one for $800 (the 84 model) and it was partially my b-day present, the rest i plan to work off. The 92 which is $500 that i plan on buying within the month is going to be all my money... my mom owes me $100, im gonna get somewhere over $100 for tearing down a building, then i have to tar a roof for like $50, and im selling my wacom tablet [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] for like 165. So thats about how the money works for me... kinda pathetic since i dont have any real job.

My dad gave me his old 92 camry when he got a new car. It runs well and is comfortable.

I'm saving up for my own car now, but my dad doesnt want me tied down by car payments so he's telling me just to keep using the camry as long as i can. It's weird when your parents want you to be independently dependent on them.

Me too. One of the reasons I got a job was so I could get a car. Of course now I pay ~$50 a week on petrol which I burn primarily driving to work, where previously I was spending $20 a week on public transport tickets. And that's not including yearly insurance ($400) and registration ($450). Aint life grand...

if oyu don't have a real job, then how do you expect to make payments?

Also, why do you even need two cars?

I didn't make payments on my car -- there are other ways. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

It might even be turbocharged next month..if I'm really, really lucky.

I somehow managed to puncture the rear tyre on my bicycle on my way back home. It went all *flopflopflopflop* just like in the movies and I could feel every crack on the pavement through my seat. It might've been a smashed beerbottle or something.

So, I'm currently without a (functioning) vehicle of my own. Hooray for public transport. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I might buy my grandfather's Mazda soon though.

I've got a 2004 Toyata Hybrid the other day*. My parents bought the whole thing for me! It was awesome. It only costed them about 10, too.

*The model is approximately 1/100th of the actual size of the car.

We had my explorer jsut sitting in the driveway when i got my license so it became my car. Since it's humid and hot and stuff here, and it has no air conditioning, and it sucks up the gas and the like, my parents are discussing getting me a new car. My mom thinks i should get one soon, my dad thinks they should wait. I'm currently looking for a job because I have exactly no money. However, we just found a 96 nissan 240sx for about $6000 so I'm going to try to negotiate my way into getting it.

yeah, you shouldn't need an SUV if you live in the city. Unless you go off roading frequently, a car will do you just fine.

SUVs are big, they waste gas, other drivers can't see through them b/c of the damn tinted windows, I can go on all day why I have SUVs.
