Jenny, we really didn't know each other, but if your spirit matches your skills then I know you will come out of this wonderfully. Always keep your spirits up and know that we are with you every step of the way.

Well I'm not usually an optimist, but even if it is cancer i'm positive you'll pull through.

You will.

Jenny, is it a firm lump? when did u get it?

when I was younger, my mom had some "knots" on her head... she had some removed...

anyawy, back in 2001, two showed up on my head. I never really went to the doctor because I don't have the money.... since I have had them for 4 years, I don't think they are a big deal.. something to be addressed eventually.... they are also outside of my skull, so I don't think they coul be TOO bad.

my dad has also had one since he was a kid. I worked with some people that had a few. I guess I am trying to say, everyone is jumping to conclusions here.. I'm sure Jenny will be fine :)

I'm actually kinda jealous.... I want to get MY tumors removed!!!

I hope you'll get better and that you'll be all right.

It'd be a major downer to lose another awesome massassian, modeller, and acquaintance.

Best wishes. :)
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

Here's hoping for a succesful treatment and a rapid recuperation.

I know what you're going through, as my mother had a similar tumor underneath her right temple. She's fine now though, much better than before infact. I hope you pull through just as admirably.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

As everyone's already said, we don't want to assume anything at all. Secondly, if it just so happens to be a tumor of any kind, all I know is that you're way too stubborn to let something like a tumor slow you down. Hang in there and remember that if life wasn't hard it wouldn't be worth living.

I'm not a medical expert, but I can't say I've ever heard of a tumor forming on the outside of the skull.

Worst comes to worst, you know there are private companies that can cryogenically freeze you and you'll be thawed out sometime in the future once medical technology advances to the point where you can be dethawed without excruciating pain and cell damage? You may end up on some starship with a businessman, a housewife and a hillbilly.

Anyway, good luck with your situation.

Ok, I had an x-ray done, and it apears the doctors were wrong. The lump is actually my bone, but dislocated. You know that kind of curved bit behind your ear? Well, mine poped out, and it won't go back in. The doctor told me it can't be pushed back in because it could hit an artery (or something, cant remember). So, I can either get sergury done, or leave it like this forever.

Anyways, I'd like to thank you all for giving me support, and it looks like I'll be around a bit longer, until I get a job lol. Thanks again everyone, it meant alot to me, even thought it turned out to be something small, but still life threatening (in a certain way I suppose).
2005-06-18, 4:43 PM #59
Yay! But that's strange, can't say i've heard of a dislocated bone in the head. Guess you learn something new every day!

Glad you don't have cancer :) Although I don't really know you that well o_O

I focused all my internal energies and rearranged spacetime so you don't have a tumor anymore.

You may thank me in the form of sexual favors, money, or chocolate. (Preferably in reverse order...)

(Glad you're okay.)
