My new rig:

AMD Athlon 64 2800+
ASUS K8V Deluxe motherboard
2 x 512mb RAM
ASUS GeForce4 4200 Ti video card
Creative Audigy sound card
120 gig Seagate Baracuda 7200-RPM hard drive, 40 gig Western Digital hd for MP3s
DVD drive, CD-ROM burner, floppy drive, network card all standard

New case:

And in a month or two I'll be adding this:

Samsung 172x with 12ms response time (no blurring).

Thoughts? Opinions? I've bought everything except the RAM so far, any suggestions about what sort of RAM I should go for? I've always just bought generic, but maybe this time it's worth shelling out for some Corsair or Kingston sticks.

So... Post your setup [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Jin, even though it does look pretty swish, aren't all those lights kind of distracting if they're so close to the monitor?
2004-05-12, 2:26 PM #18
Not at all. The photo actually makes the lights look a lot brighter than they really are. And at the angle I have the monitor, I get no glare from the lights on the screen. Besides, who doesn't love to be engulfed in a blue glow? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
