Who is your favorite knight? Personally, I've always held Sir Gawaine to be a paragon of the chivalric code, and, on the other end, I consider Bill Gates to be a mediocre knight at best. I mean, hell, he doesn't even have the title "Sir"! What a reject.

So yeah, post your favorite knight.

I like using him as a Knight, he keeps good damage and always gets the JP/XP from every fight, since he's required, so you get all those spiffy knight abilities really quickly.

Do fictional samurai count?

Either Kikuchiyo (front and center, with the nodachi) or Sanjuro (... obscured, on the left, winning the climactic iai-draw duel) , both played by the magnificent Toshiro Mifune. Two quite different characters brought splendidly to life by the same actor in different films.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I find ignore hieght, dual wielding, and hamachi (I think that's what it is. The counter before they attack) are more spiffy. :D

I always wanted Ramza to be the most powerful.

I always had Ramza with what I said earlier, with jump and monk abilities. I had a black mage / time mage, knight / dancer, archer / thief, Lancer / ninja, and a squire / white mage.

Black mage / time mage had... Black magic and time magic

Knight / dancer had dance and battle skill. Also wielding swords.

Archer / Thief is steal and charge.

Lancer / Ninja was jump and throw. Dictionary ftw.

Squire / White mage was those squire abilities, and white magic.

I'd also replace the squire with my mediator / oracle a lot. Guns are great.

Also never used story chars other than ramza.

What I hate is how FFT:A is a sorry excuse for a FFT game. The ability and law system is pure crap. It's a decent game, but I wish they stuck to the original more.

I beat FFT using a party comprising solely of Porkies and Ramza, mainly because he was so damn powerful as a monk.
2005-06-17, 4:27 PM #24
I agree. Ramza is really scary as a monk. Early game he dominates.
