Well, for right now it's Windows 98, but I'm going to try and install linux on it... which brings me to my next problem. I tried installing Debian (simply because that is the first distro that comes up for a google search for "linux"), but it didn't work. It won't detect the CD drive for some reason. It gets to the "load installer components from CD" step, and then says

Am I perhaps using the wrong disk? There were like 14 CD images available for download, but I read that you could install the base operating system using only disk 1.
