Yo, I´m doing a new thread, cause of a new challenge. Any how, It began like, umm a month ago. I went to a wedding, not wanting to go at all, and so there is this girl, who sees me ever since I go in. So, after a while, she asked me out to dance, never happened with me before. We danced, we talked, etc... All nice. I just left it there, because I had my sense of obligations (Massassi, School, etc) Last Thursday, I get news of her calling me. So, I missed the call, and then, yesturday, a strange number was in the caller ID, and so I had a hunch it was her. BINGO! It was. So we talked, but only a little because she had to go, and we talked today also. I noticed one thing though, we have very little to talk about, or do we? I couldn´t think of much to tell her, so I was speaking of things like school, the wedding, familiy, etc... any suggestion? Also, she asked me if I was doing anything tommorrow, and I said no, and I asked her, and she said no aswell, talk about a golden opportunity.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Go do something you both enjoy (I wouldn't reccomend a movie. That's not very social, and if you're looking for things to talk about...)

I would reccommend you /don't/ mention that you asked for help at Massassi though... :p

ask her her views on stuff - random stuff. and tell her WHAT YOU think. say, about how the unvierse was created or something. there is a TON of things to talk about...

for example, remember that thread called "Tranquility Bay" here? well, it in itself is a very interesting topic for a converstation.

anyways, i really don't see why some people can't talk to girls normally. girls, guys - what's the difference if it's YOU who's doing the talking?

oh, and one more thing: LISTEN. if she'll go on talking about her mom or something, listen to her. most people talk but don't listen nowadays, so i guess the ability to listen is considered an impressive skill.

I think you should give up hope and work full-time on your game.

why not? that'd actually be a very honest and original thing to say. not many guys admit they're a bit at a loss...

Massassi is not an obligation, and if you think it is that is very, very sad.

Invite her to dinner with your parents. Most chicks would absolutely love that - if not for any other reason than they know you don't want to do tuat, just because they would like it.

After dinner I'd say you could go bowling. Or something like that.

Bowling, pool, coffee, dinner, ice cream, a nice walk in the park are all good options.

You should have asked her if she wanted to do something.

And if you can't find anything to talk, talk about your MMORPGs.

There's a difference between asking someone, and asking an online internet community based around an 8 year old star wars game. A big one.

Oh of course SOME people do.

But it's STILL a Star Wars board, so no matter what you tell other people, they're still gonna think you're a gigantic nerd. :p

Heh. It always seems that when you are talking with someone you are genuinely interested in, you can't find many good topics to dicuss, doesn't it? :)

I find current events (although don't delve too deep into politics, can turn out nasty)asking, what she's interested in, or mentioning interesting occurences works well. Through this, you can also try to figure out what type of person she is and her interests, and possibly plan something to do that she would enjoy.

And one more thing - what Koobie said on listening is very important. Some girls have a lot going on in their life, and would just like someone to talk to, see if anyone can relate to them, or seek advice dealing with problems they are having. Be the person who she can talk to, and you can do well.

Just a hunch, but that's probably because you are supposed to ask them.

I was raised to listen to people, but what koobie said on talking on stuff such as the topic in tranquility bay, is more of a culture shock. In Mexico, girls don´t like to talk on things of politics, or health, or stuff like that, they probably like to start topics but, they don´t last very long, they are more, straight to the point type, if you know what I mean. Thanks for the advice any ways.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Stop refering to women as "chicks."

They aren't fowel.

Aside from that.

Quit being a liar is the only advice I can offer you.

Dude, Massassi is an obligation over girls for you? What is wrong with you? ;) :p

well, that makes things a LOT easier for you. just, er... skip the talking part and get straight to the point. heh.

Say something that you want to say that you're not sure if she'll react postively to.

Things that haven't earned me a slap:

"You do have very shapely breasts"
"Man it's warm, I should have come naked"

The last one is really good, but don't say it suggestively like a moron, just say it.

tell her what you like, thing you are passionate about, things you hate.

Then ask her the same.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

Once again, TV has the answer!

*From memory, not exact*

Fry: Ask her how her day was.
Zoidberg: How was your day?
Edna: Well, first I got up, then I had a piece of toast, then I brushed my teeth...
Zoidberg: Fry look what you've done, she won't shut up!
Fry: That's normal. Just keep nodding, and say "uh huh" once in a while.
