This comic today reminds me of my time in 6th grade drawing cartoons with the people at the board showing us how to form the shapes into funny characters.

We made cartoons out of ourselves or the kids around us and had a blast. The idea that the people showing us how were thinkin something so...ridiculous....oh it just cracks me up. Which penny arcade reminds you of a memory, what is it?

I was JUST about to post that. Todays comic made me laugh pretty hard.

In my Calculus class, the teacher would always have half the class come to the board at a time, and people would always end up drawing stuff. Me and a friend drew a motercycle obstacle course with a crocodile pit and a candy reward at the end.

You have to read Tycho's post that goes along with it, though. Hilarious.

They used to. And they *really, really* hated it.

They refer to it as Spokanistan every so often.

In fact, they went to my Junior high (albiet before I was there.)

And that's kinda funny. We have a claim to PA fame, Bob.

I was in a lame speach class in eigth grade with this teacher that was totally clueless. We did some exercise where you thought of an illustration composed of shapes and you had to instruct others how to draw it, orally. One kid's shape was a long rectangle with a triangle on top and two spheres at the bottom. She didn't get what was so funny. One other time we made some stupid advertisements, and one kid's tagline was "Cum to the Everglades"...she didn't get that either. She also didn't get it when one kid said "I have a monkey and I spank it every day."
