You guys

I started off on the wrong foot with you guys, thinking you all were a bunch of Star Wars geeks, but after coming back here day after day, you guys are cool as ****. This forum is the most fun I've been too. You guys always post interesting links, where you find them, I'll never know. And even if some of the topics are geekish, hey! I'm glad to be a part of you guys.

Having said that, don't disown me. I've had this screen name since '03. Don't make me make a new one.

But we are Star Wars geeks. Well, most of us. Perhaps it's possible to be cool *and* be a SW geek at the same time? It's a concept that none of my real life friends seem to be able to grasp.

I'm a SW geek, I admit it. I just never felt it nessesary to hang out on a SW message board.

Until recently. Are we cool?

Yes. Although we talk about SW on occasion, we live normal lives too and are well versed in other subjects.

Also, this site didn't base itself around the movies. It focused around a classic SW FPS that is not just a good SW game but a great game overall and compete with any title of its time.

I am.

I don't know about any of this "we" business, though.

It's funny, because I feel the direct opposite.

Lol, chill out, hombres.

I came here because of Jedi Knight too.

Then Jedi Outcast, then Jedi Academy...

And let me add, my very first PC game was 'Jedi KInight'.

Even though it's outdated, it's still my favorite of all time.

It was pretty much my first PC game also... I think I got it for my birthday. Can't remember for sure, though.

On another note, I am usually humored by the level of "geekiness" here at Massassi. I love it when people post pictures of themselves out in nature, for example, because it's so contradictory of their geeky nature to be outside (like seeing a cat in a swimming pool). Or, for example, when people post about how they just sat in line at Target for 2 hours to pick up the latest Star Wars collectible doll or whatever... For lack of a better word, I find it cute. At the same time, I am often incredibly amazed at the level of talent amongst the Massassi community. From a certain "braininess" to level of artistic nature, there's such diversity of talent on an incredible level here. Sometimes I'll read a post and think, "Wow. I never realized it. That guy's a genius." I wonder if 20 years from now, former massassians will be running the world (in the sense that a majority of people in positions of wealth or power will have or have had Massassi in common).

**** is cool? I always thought fresh feces coming out of the body would retain the same temperature of the body it emerged from. I'm sure the toilet water would probably cool it down to a degree but I can't really prove what temperature it would be since I've yet to stab a thermometer into a fresh sample. I'll be sure to investigate and report my findings when I get the opportunity.

These are the only forums I write at besides technical forums. I love how everything is clean and civil (compared to other forums out there, where you can't be quite sure if the primary language really is English).
Sorry for the lousy German
