What's your favorite Star Wars ship?
2005-06-22, 5:55 PM #1
One of the things I like the best about Star Wars is all of the cool starships, like the Imperial Star Destroyer, the X-wing and TIE fighter, the Mon Cal cruiser, etc. I've done lots of research on them, looking for info, and I've gotten to know a lot about them. So, I got to wondering, what are your favorites, Massassians?
2005-06-22, 6:14 PM #2
B-Wing by far. I find them far more unique than any other ship. IG-88's ship is a close second because I read the Bounty Hunter book, and remember it being really cool as well.
<Lyme> I got Fight Club for 6.98 at walmart.

I forgot about the Executor. One of my favorites as well.

BTW, on the poll, when you refer to the Rebel blockade runner, are you talking about the Corellian Corvette?

Z-5 Headhunter Mmmm.. Fast,Sleak,Deadly
2005-06-22, 6:42 PM #11
The Executor.
2005-06-22, 6:43 PM #12
Technically, it's the Executor-Class Star Destroyer. Kenner made up the name "Super Star Destroyer" because they thought Executor was too scary a name for little kids.

Anyways, thats my vote as well.
2005-06-22, 6:53 PM #13
I voted for the blockade runner, because it's awesome.
2005-06-22, 6:58 PM #14
The Enterprise.... er *cough*
:p

Actually, I've always been particularly fond of the TIE Interceptor... :\ strange considering the TIE Advanced is practically the same design except superior in every way
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

The TIE Defender is teh awesome. :) Same TIE manuverability, with more weapons, the addition of shields, and a hyperdrive.

I must agree. I loved that ship so much on Rogue Squadron, was great in a dogfight; incredibly fast with decent firepower. It didn't take much to get fried though, seeing as you had no astromech droid. :-/

The Firespray was the model name of the Slave I, unmodified.

I love the Slave I, with fighters, I am a huge fan of the TIE Interceptor. Like a flying dagger.

X-Wing. I prefer the classic personal craft. The only bad part is you gotta land just to grab another cold one outta your R2.

Still, I just can't really be comfortable flying anything else in Rogue Leader. Put it in cockpit mode and it's just really really homely for some reason.

I forgot about the TIE Defender. It is a superior fighter to anything else out there. It really has my vote. It's insanely fast (like 1/3 faster than A-wings at top speed), has great firepower, very powerful shields, a hyperdrive, and a tractor beam that can freeze enemy starfighters in place.

I forget, but in one of the books X-Wings are able to take out Defenders, and E-Wings are better than X-Wings...

See I got so many

Slave 1 for example (the Firespray ship)
Outrider and other YT-2000
Millenium Falcon and other YT-1300
and the Sith Interceptor
I can't think of anything to put here right now.
2005-06-22, 10:38 PM #39
X-Wings taking out TIE Defenders? Well, they're a lot slower than Defenders, and their shields are a little weaker, and the Defender has a tractor beam. So it would have to be a very good/lucky X-Wing pilot.

From fighters: TIE Defender, most probably. Also, the Republic fighters on the prequels were quite cool too.

From capital ships: SSD, ISD, Eclipse

Otherwise: Falcon, Otana, Outrider
Star Wars: TODOA | DXN - Deus Ex: Nihilum
