So that those who view this thread may improve their browsing experience by discovering new plugins. Also add a brief description of each plugin, because extension-list blurbs tend to be vastly insufficient.
Adblock - Blocks ads, everyone has it. At least, everyone cool.
BlogThis - Adds a shortcut in the context menu for highlighted text that links to Blogger. It makes a new article with a link and a quote of the text you highlighted automatically.
Compact Menu - Removes top bar menus, such as Help, that nobody uses.
Disable Targets For Downloads - Keeps downloads from opening new tabs, like when you click a link to download a WMV and it opens a new blank tab for no discernable reason.
downTHEMall! - Downloads every file on a page within a list of filetypes. For example, I could download all the mp3s on a page with two clicks. Good for leeching mp3s off of people (e.g. 8bitpeoples) that put entire discographies on one page. Yes, I have trouble sleeping at night.
fireFTP - Small FTP tool that I don't use because I don't use FTP.
Gmail Notifier - Adds a GMail logo to your toolbar with a counter that updates when you get new mail. I use this all the time.
ieview - Shortcut to IE in context menu, good for the O2Jam site.
Single Window - Keeps everything in the same window, makes newwindow links open in new tabs instead of new windows, as is default.
Slim Extension List - Makes the extension list collapsable and easier to work with, as seen in the screenshot.
SpellBound - Spellchecker. I use it for blogging and not much else.
Tab X - Adds an X on the right side of every tab so you can close tabs that you aren't in with one click. Seems kinda useless at first, but it grows into a habit after a while.
That screenshot was taken a few weeks ago and since then I've gotten:
Bookmark Backup - Since Firefox likes to delete profiles on a regular basis, this backs up options, extensions and bookmarks every day, or every week, or whenever you set it up. Extremely useful, and, since I got it six days ago, It's already saved me once.
Chatzilla - IRC client that I don't use.
Magpie - Bulk downloader and incremental file viewer. I don't use the bulk download features much since I already have downTHEMall which I feel is better at that sort of things, but I use the incremental file viewer a lot. It works extremely well and is good for... webcomics. Yeah. Webcomics. *cough*
Minesweeper - Minesweeper application. Does square and hexagonal grids, and also can have multiple flags on one square.
MiniT - Drag-and-drop tabs to reorder them. Useful!
Sage - Really good RSS feed viewer. I don't use it much, but if you're into RSS feeds this thing is orgasmic.
Signature - Supposed to store signatures for forums and such. Unfortunately, it is garbage. I intend to delete it eventually.
SwitchProxy - Proxy thingy for Firefox. You can set it to switch to a different proxy in ten second intervals and stuff. I don't use it much but I keep it around for the occasional ban evasion and alternate account.
Post your extensions, so we may share and learn from each other of new and useful Firefox plugginery. Hurrah!
