I downloaded it then went to get a billing account to play it and of course I need a credit card. Why do all good free things require credit cards? I really want to play this and not waste my dad's bandwith, but I guess I can't.

Yeah, it annoys the hell out of me that most MMOs don't offer a true free trial. Instead, you have to buy the game for $50 just to get to play for a free month. I understand the whole putting money down for the software package in all but some mmo games such as those offered by NCsoft allow you download the client from their website so why not let customers play the game for free for at least 2 weeks and then force them to buy it? I'm aware that some mmos have this service but some of them usually only allow the free trial for a some period of time like how SWG trial only lasted like 2 months before it ended.
