The day Halo 2 will ship. I've been lusting after it since I saw the very frist screenshots, and after seeing the camcorder footage of the E3 Multiplayer Demo, I can't wait. It looks to be freaking incredible. Graphically alone it's superior. In my opinion, it almost makes Halo look like a cartoon. But the gameplay.... The gameplay has me sold. I seriously think Bungie can do no wrong with it. At the very most, there will probably only be two or three things I minorly dislike, but I'll get used to them fairly quickly.

So... I plan to preorder the Limited Collectors Edition by at least the end of the month. Anyone else here planning on getting it soon after release?

In which case you probably didn't get about half the story. Gameplay was only part of it. Bungie's games are about story, to get most of the story, you had to infer a little bit and dig a little bit and look below the surface. In my opinion, THAT'S what made Halo a good game.

Now suggest a better game if you think it sucked.

If you were speaking to me, I've played through the entire campaign on each skill level except Legendary, I've only made it half way through that. It gets tough.

Indeed, its sad MS bought them out, but if you've seen some of the quotes I have from some Bungie employees, they really don't give a damn and act as though they were never really bought. I think it's cool.

Ive played Halo all the way through on Legendary and Normal. Legendary was fun

I think the same thing could be said about Oni. Sure, the graphics were mediocre and the gameplay wasn't too great but the story was great. The game played nice homeage to anime and the ending had a nice twist. It is a shame though that not many people could see the story in it's full glory because the graphics and gameplay was so sloppy. Would be nice if Bungie would do a sequel as a way to make up for those shortcomings although I'm sure Bungie must have discarded for legal/finacial reasons.

I wouldn't put it past them to have thought about it, but after being bought out by Microsoft, they've effectively become an XBox only developer. A thing I've heard them both praise and complain about. They like it becuase it means they can push the limits of a system and a set of requirements they know EVERYONE will have. They hate it because it means they loose the extra fan base without going though another party to port the game. I'd be willing to bet good money that Halo PC would've been far superior at launch if Bungie had personally made it instead of Gearsoft porting it. Who knows...

Bungie developed the Myth series, but handed over the right to another company (forget who...) when they were bought.

EBGames has it up already and shows a slightly different box. I think the one Bungie.net shows is for display only, as it says near the bottom of the box, and that would also explain the text on the back.
