Works via POP in Thunderbird for me. I just checked.

Gmail itself is working, but Notifier won't log in. I can still go to the log in page by clicking 'View Inbox', though.

How come Google is creating an email thing now? Isn't Hotmail good enough, or is it experiencing problems?

Gmail is the win because it rocks five kinds of box.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Hey, Coke makes your teeth go all gummy. Too much phosphoric acid.

I'd like to meet this "Mr. Pibb". Play a few rounds of Omaha, y'know?

from g-mail login page:

A Google approach to email.
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:

Search, don't sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.

Don't throw anything away.
2345.070309 megabytes (and counting) of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.

Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.

No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest

thats over 2.3 GIGS of storage. admittedly i'll never use that much, ever. plus when you reply to someone and they reply back all the quoted text is hidden so you dont have a crapload of text at the bottom of a 2 line e-mail. the list goes on.

Besides the fact that Dr. Pepper is its own company, sure.

Gmail has 2 gb free, less junk mail, no stupid Microsoft emails, more options, and its google. What more could you ask for?

Sure, if by its own company you mean the Coca-Cola company. Huh? What did you mean?

edit - Actually, I'm a little confused. Mr Pibb and Dr Pepper show up on Coke's website as their products. The Dr Pepper website shows it being a Dr Pepper/7 Up Inc. product. Weird.

Wow, do some research. Coca Cola does not own Dr. Pepper.

It's Dr. Pepper and 7up, that's it.

see my edited post. Like I said, Dr Pepper shows up on the coke website as one of their brands.

And I did that research before my previous post so I guess I out researched you. :p

So here's the deal. Dr Pepper may be it's own company (within the 7 Up, Schweps, etc deal) but chance are you're drinking Dr Pepper produced and bottled by someone else. I told you I was confused. From a FAQ on the parent company of Dr Pepper:

Quote:
Q: Isn't Dr Pepper/Seven Up owned by a major cola company?
A: No. While Coke and Pepsi are bottling partners that produce and deliver a substantial amount of our soft drink volume to retailers, neither owns DPSU. DPSU is a wholly owned division of London-based Cadbury Schweppes plc.
