It looks awesome. Some of the CG looks a bit iffy, but they are probably still working on it, and when it comes to CG the finished product usually looks a lot better than the previews, whether its because of the higher resolution or the extra time spent in post production after the trailer is released. I think it will be a pretty good movie.

I think it looks pretty neat. The CG does look a bit cheap for now, but I'm sure that's temporary.

Is WETA doing the special effects in this?

I also like what I've seen of Jack Black in this role.

Wow. King Kong = hardcore.

I was surprised to see Jack Black...he doesn't seem like he would fit in this movie, but he looks good so far.

you want iffy CGI, look at what was done here whith Pendragon pictures war of the worlds movie. (tim hines made that one, it is a period piece). http://plan9timbo.tripod.com/index.htm

King kong looks much better even in those preliminary shots.
