Heres her website... She looks like Alyx.. I wonder if they modelled the game character after her sort of..

I think she'd look good as Alyx in the HL movie.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Alyx Vance is a character in a videogame called "Half-Life 2." It came out fairly recently, you may not have had a chance to play it yet.

Anyway, Temperamental has discovered the web site of the person who provided the voice for the character named Alyx Vance. He suggests that, hypothetically, Half-Life 2 were to be made into a movie, the actress shown on the web site--who played Alyx Vance in the video game--might also be a prime choice for the same character in the film version.

Additionally, Temperamental has submitted that the actress bears a striking resemblance to the CG character, and that the game developers might possibly have modelled the CG character after the voice actress's face. I was merely pointing out that there is little question, if any, about whether this is the case.

And, due out this Christmas is the video game Half Life 2 for which she provided the voice of the main character Alyx Vance.

I wouldn't really have called her a "main" character. More like a supporting one.

haha... it has the people they used as references for the models at the end of the credits. dont think they based it off the voice actor.

The modelled the face after a different actress that provides the voice.

If you can, get ahold of Raising the Bar, it has photos of all the people who provided face models as well as filmographies for those that did the voices.

Speaking of which... Should/Aren't they making a Half Life movie?
2005-06-28, 11:22 AM #14
yes they should, and edward norton needs to play gordon. and morgan freeman should be eli vance... but with that combo, it sounds like it would be directed by fincher... which would RULE. haha.

This is quite possibly the worst website I've ever seen.

Don't ever say that name again while there is a different conversation going on. It's bad.
DO NOT WANT.

I'm not sure a Half-Life movie is really a good idea, given how the Half-Life games presented the story through Gorden's point of view. Do we really want to see Gorden from a third person perspective and with dialogue? Some may say yes but I think that would ruin the whole Half-Life experience because the player is SUPPOSED to be Gorden, not just an observer. That's just my opinion though.
