8 chicken nuggets take 12 minutes to cook but a chicken burger at the same heat only takes 6 minutes to cook... this interested me... whats everyones views on it.

I don't know much about heating, but maybe it's because the nuggets have extra shielding, as a whole. I mean, a chicken burger has the one layer of batter. It would take less time for the heat to penetrate this. Now, I'll assume the nuggets are all bunched up. This makes them like a compartmentalized burger pattie. This means more overall batter for the oven to cook. Also, where the nuggets touched would make a combined batter layer twice as thick as any point on the burger, shielding the inner nuggets quite effectively.
