Max Payne the movie!

Discuss who would play the best Max Payne.
2005-06-29, 2:40 AM #2
Yay!

I'll be waiting for Penny-Arcade(ish) BAD DIALOGUE-jokes, though.

As for Max's actor, it probably depends is Max young or old(er) in the movie.

Keanu Reeves. You all hate me, but it's true. At least visually.

Christian Slater wouldn't make a bad Max Payne, but the last few movies he was in weren't...so good...so I dunno. He may be outta the scene.

You know it's going to end up with one of those wankers, Paul WS Anderson or Uwe Boll (what ever the f**k his name is) directing it?

Shame, Rodriguez would be perfect for this. I always thought he'd be well suited for the task, and then Sin City pretty much confirmed it.

I like Anderson.

After the success of Sin City, I'm not surprised they finally got round to resurrecting the Max Payne movie. They were talking about it shortly after the first game came out!

On a semi-related note, who else thinks Jason Statham would be the perfect 47 for the Hitman movie?

Harrison Ford!:p

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Dude... Christian Bale would own as Max Payne! I don't care if he just finished Batman! He'd be awesome for Payne, too.

I disagree about Keanu Reeves. There's just something about him that doesn't fit the hopeless, relentless assault of Payne. Maybe if Bruce Willis had black hair, or even just had hair, he might make a good Payne. But Christian Bale is definitely my first choice.

I think Vin Diesel can do it.

But Statham would make a good hitman.

I just realized, Kiefer Sutherland would make a good Max Payne.

I would say Bruce Willis back in his Die-Hard days. He's a bit too old now, though. :(

Yeha, tofu! Kiefer Sutherland would be great for Payne, too.

BTW is the movie based on the first game, or both?

Tom Cruise as Max Payne, and Katie Holmes as his wife who dies brutally five seconds into the movie.

No, Tom Cruise is too "cool" for Max Payne. He isn't grizzled enough for the job.

No, Tom Cruise should be the main villain, and Opera should be Mrs. Payne who gets killed by the main villain. They've already got the footage for it.

Sam Lake. I think if they gave him the chance, he'd be great. Professional actors take themselves far too seriously.

He's got the hair, but Busey does have a better facial structure and better hair...but the voice would once again ruin it. It's gonna be hard finding someone to play Payne.
