Yeah, but I live oversees, so news reaches me later. I only just learned about American independence. Good job!

But back to Jon Stewart and his genius!

Too bad they still have Lewis Black on that show. I cannot STAND that man. And I don't really know why. He's just not funny to me. Too loud and obnoxious.

I can't find any humor in the way stewart presents his material.

Then look harder damnit.

As Homer Simpson said: 'it's funny because it's true'.

I think that show is one of the funniest on the planet. Especially the one where they did the first report on Weapons of Mass Destruction. I was in hysterics... it was awexome. Conan O'Brien is good too, but that one episode put Jon Stewart over the top, for me.

I don't like the 'segments', save perhaps for 'This Week in God'. But the ones involving real people (which are basically "say something crazy and watch person go  ") are just.. not funny.

I really like the Daily Show but I have to agree with you that that dude is completely annoying. I actually turn to another channel when he comes on because I can't stand watching him.

YES! The premiere was last night, and I was a bit skeptical, but I loved it! Very different humor from what I've ever seen, but it just works perfectly. 10:30 Eastern on Comedy Central Tuesday nights if you're interested in watching.

I haven't seen Lewis Black much on the Daily Show, but his standup his hilarious.

I usually don't like Lewis Black on the Daily Show, but his stand-ups are some of the funniest I've seen. Expecailly his "Taxed beyond Belief" special.

Hehehe check this out: Jon Stewart lays mushroom clouds on the Crossfire TV-show

As I said, funny because it's true. And I absolutely hate the bow-tie guy.

I saw Lewis Black on tour. His opening act was one of the funnies guys I have ever seen. Black? Not so funny. Picture this for like two hours.

"I'm so angry at *shakes head around and spits all over himself every other sentence* *hubbrabhurbabw* everything! *weird finger pointing motion* F*** EVERYONE!!!!"

The guy has his moments, but it's basically the same thing over and over. It was worth the money just for the opening act though :)
Think while it's still legal.

Well, forgive me for slightly derailing the thread, but Jon Stewart is, quite possibly, the man. Sometimes he's not particularly funny, but his delivery is near perfect. A genius at humor.
