This is question that will require thought. What type of car do you own? As im in the process of learning to drive, I have been encouraged to do research into the kind of car i'd like to buy. I have carried out research into used cars and have come up with a chioce of a Ford Fiesta (1998) (or something of the sort). Im asking what you people think. Thanks.

I have two Trans Ams, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Ford Escort. The Escort is wounded right now but that's because my kid burned out the clutch. Overall, that car had been great. If I were you I wouldn't go with a Fiesta unless you're trying to spend absolutely as little as possible. If you want a small, economical car that still offers nice comfort I would look for an Escort or Focus. You should be able to get one for very little and I know from both experience and reputation that at least the Escort is a very reliable car.

Mine's the same thing, without the flare over the back tire.
I'm only 15 but next year, this is what I'll be driving.

My old car was a '98 Mustang V6.

http://home.austin.rr.com/depti/mustang.jpg

It was totalled early April when someone pulled out in front of me and I rearended him. Normally, in Texas, if you rearend someone, it's almost always your fault no matter what. I found out just a couple of days ago that it was ruled to be their fault, and my insurance company is working on getting my deductible back. But at least my insurance won't go up.

My new car is an '04 Mustang V6, Metallic Silver, with the 40th anniversary package.

(j/k)

I drive a 1988 Toyota Corolla. Yeah it's kinda getting old, but It's all I have for the moment. Toyotas will almost run forever.

My siblings and i are sharing a 1987 Volvo 240DL(A very sturdy car, and reliable), but within the next year i will have enough money to buy a porsche 944(5 speed-manual). A non-turbo, but still a nice car. :D
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I know some people here are going to hate me for saying this, but if you're looking for a car that's going to be reliable and not cost a lot, get an older Honda Accord. The 4th gen (90-93) are all my parents will drive, currently they have 208k miles and 149k miles on theirs, and they still run great.

Look for the EX model if you want a little more power, they have a DOHC engine instead of SOHC and make about 40 more HP. Plus you get a sunroof. :D

I have an L reg Ford Escort that looks like its been in a war, it still runs with only minor problems. Somebody also tried to nick it and while they did manage to damage the door they never got in.

So in my opinion get a Ford Escort, reliable, hard to nick, spacious and keeps going even when damaged :D

It looks like that picture was taken from a hiding place, or something... XD

Personally, I drive an Imaginary car.

That is, I don't drive a real one.

Despite the fact I'm old enough to get my license.

Perhaps I'm just lazy?

I had an Escort ZX2. It's a very good car. Escorts have always been great cars. Fiestas have not. There's a very good reason they did not last long.

I currently drive an 02 Sentra SE-R Spec V. Very, very fun.

I'm car shopping at the moment... I'm looking at getting an older Volkswagen (94ish), possibly a GTI. Diesel would be a big plus for me if I could find it.

1990 Volvo 740 Turbo wagon. Blue. 107,000 miles. Actually a very nice car - leather, all power functions, sunroof, etc. Built like a tank, and is actually decently fast. 0-60 in roughly 7.5.

Of course that 0-60 data has been experienced firsthand by Nightwind himself... As for me, *GULP* nineteen ninety something Chevy S10 (AHH!!!) with a squished front end (My sister does not know that when there is a line of immobile traffic in front of you, you stop). Piece of crap. It has an all red interior. It is gay. And it sucks to drive. The steering collumn is all loose and I can only take 3 people (the rear jump seats [two of them] only seat 1/2 of a person each, so there are four seats total, able to carry approximately 3 people). It has bad gas milage because it is a truck, I have to shift by moving the lever by the steering wheel (I HATE THAT, even though it is an automatic, I STILL HATE THAT). The brakes are really stiff to push, and the gas pedal is all funky. And the window leaks, and it leaks oil (leaking oil should be fixable, but its not worth it, it isn't my car, its my parents). Don't have a car of my own. Don't really need one either, especially with the ridiculous petrol prices these days. Mostly I just use the public transportation and my bike to get around the Helsinki district.

If I'm going further, then dad's BMW Mini or my grandmother's 1988 Ford Escort. Apparently I'm going to be given my grandfather's more or less pristine Mazda 323 Mark 4 once his arthritis really gets too bad for him to be able to drive.

Nubs is currently driving a '95 Subaru Impreza Legacy. Hell of an improvement over my past car, the 94 Chevy S-10 pick up. The Subie's AWD is certainly going to come in handy this winter season, and according to my research the sucker is a tank, and could possibly get up to 300,000. That's a whiles off though.
