You have stayed awake for?? Also, what is the average amount of hours a human should stay awake/sleep for to be healthy? I havn't slept in 40 hours and I'm not tired. At all.

Just trying to get some perspective.

Please. I went, like 22 hours no sleep and then could handle no more. I'm so lame. :p

I stayed up until like 5:30 once but then I went to bed even though I wasn't tired so I wouldn't stay up all night and my parents would be all "woah man did you stay up all night" and then I'd laugh at them and start throwing pencils at them

52 hours. I wouldn't recommend it.

Hehe, I'm pushing about 38 hours without sleep right now. Most of which were spent writing a program that I never finished. I'm probably well on my way to failing my summer programming course. Damn C and its segfaults!

since I have a lot of pencils on my desk in a box but the box isn't on my desk actually it's on the desk next to mine which is also actually mine mostly because I share it with my mom who keeps sewing equipment in the bottom drawer which is bigger than all the other drawers which is why she keeps her sewing equipment there

I saw this thread and though "Oh God..." then I opened it and thought "oh..."

anyway, I've been up 23 hours, 25 hours, and about 36 hours on 10 minutes of dozing. I count the last as being all awake, because it was 10 minutes and dozing...which I gained nothing from.
I had a blog. It sucked.

2 or 3 days in Germany. That sucked. (Lack of sleep not germany)

About 44 hours. I was traveling from India to Atlanta and had a 13 hour layover in Jordan and a another 6 hours in Milan, Italy. They had to reroute our plane to Paris, where I had to transfer planes. I stayed awake through the whole ordeal. Wee!

but actually there is no sewing equipment there at the moment because my mom said she was going to use it for sewing equipment but right now there's just a bunch of folders and paper and extendable locker shelves in there so I don't know when she's gonna put her sewuing equipment in there if she ever will since I've never seen her actually sew

I'd guess about 36-44 Hours... it was so long ago, I don't really remember what time I went to sleep at the next day.

But in the last year, I managed to stay up until about 5:30 maybe six once or twice.
2005-07-01, 10:31 PM #15
6 minutes.

Okay, acutally I had my brother time me once. 47 hours 34 minutes. He was playing GTA at the time, I was watching him on the couch, sitting up, then I just fell asleep.

NOT HEALTHY, I was really messed up literally for days, so don't try it.

My muscels ached. :(

I wouldn't say he's claiming. Speed can easily keep you up for a month.

I'd say about 80 hours, maybe more. Bawls+Partying=no sleepy.

Went to an all-nighter LAN thing, so that's 24 hours, then I didn't get any sleep the next day.

About 50 hours, then I dragged myself to bed.

I realize that. I'm just saying I have no real proof that he did.
2005-07-02, 8:18 AM #21
Like 45 hours.
2005-07-02, 8:28 AM #22
stayed up till 6.30am and went to sleep because I thought I should, not that I was really tired, kinda went past that point at around 1-2am, from there onwards wasn't that hard.

Didn't end up getting much sleep ~2-3 hours max before I woke up, probably could have managed 30-35 hours alright, still I don't think its good for you.

About 48 hours is the longest I've stayed up.

Some nights I simply wouldn't go to bed. Marching band practice the following nights were always so much more fun because of it. :p

42, 43 hours. Absolutely no good reason for it ever, either. It just sorta happens, you're out somewhere there's nowhere comfy to lie down so you just dont go to sleep.

It's just about 6am Sunday morning here right now, I aint that tired. Of course that's mostly the fault of Live8 / cricket / tennis.

68 hours with no sleep.
Over that amount of time, I had taken 20 caffein pills and drank about 3 pots of coffee.

just last week I had a big deadline to meet and I had alot of work to do so I was up from around 8:00am worked until 9:am the next day, took a break came back a few hours later and continued working until around 10:pm and didn't go to bed until 2am....

so I think my total is around 40ish hours.

44ish.

Around hour 37, my friend dozed off and then woke up. He said "I wasn't sleeping, I was just resting my hair."

The scary thing was, after being awake for 37 hours, this made perfect sense. "Oh, you're just resting your hair. Okay."

Are you sure? I know people who have stayed up for a week, maybe two on meth, but I really don't think you could do it for a month. I think you would die.

Yeah that's bull. Even a few weeks is pushing it. You'd be dead in a month.

I think my personal record is about a day. I get sick if I stay up that late, becuase I don't do it often at all. So, when I do go through a long night, around 3-4 I'll start throwing up.

The very first time I decided to stay up all night was in the 5th or 6th grade at a friends. I was fine up until like 7am, then I was sick and I couldn't stomach breakfast. I went home and just about passed out for half a day. Now I can stay up like it's nothing.

Have you seen the episode of Ripley's Believe it or Not where they interview the guy that hasn't slept in something like 25 years? I believed it too. Supposedly, the guy gets his rest from meditation, but he doesn't sleep.
