How old?

How old were you when you first saw Star Wars? I was 8 or 9 back in 1977, and it changed my life. I remember I got the "Deathstar" for christmas that year, although my mom got the lamest action figures to play with it, but that DeathStar was the most fun I can remember as a child.

I never got a Darth Vader, I never got any Stormtroopers, no droids. My mom sucked at picking action figures. She bought me and my brother lightsabers, and of course mine was green and my brother got the cool Darth Vader, red one.

Then, she got us the robot from "Lost in Space". Yeah, WTF? Don't bank on moms knowing popular robots. No C-3p0, no R2-D2, but "Danger Will Robinson!" And to make matters worse, it worked for about 15 minutes and the crapped out. It layed under my bed for the longest time. What a POS toy.

Anyway.....

BTW, heres a pic of my son with his 3p0 and Stormtrooper that I got on e-bay. I didn't have them when I was little, so I'm making sure he does!:)

He's a fan too. He plays JK and JO all the time.

Let's see... first saw them in this house, moved in year 4... probably about 10 or 11, then. I had Rebel Assault before I had the movies.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I doubt I'm old enough to remember them. Judging by those clothes, they made that toy before I was born.

The first time I *remember* watching it was when I was 7 or 8 when my parents got the triology for my little brother. My older brother was a huge fan, so I'm sure he made me watch it before that.

My mom did the same thing with Star Wars toys. She always bought the lame ones or the same ones. I think I have three of the same Han Solo. But I still had a blast playing with them. Ah...memories!

I remember watching RotJ on TV when I was really young, maybe in the 4-5 range. I finally saw the whole trilogy about a year or so before they started showing the SE trilogy in theaters.

Back in 1997 when Lucas did the remakes. I was 9 then, and after I saw it I bought Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Dark Forces I, and a toy Vader Saber.

I have been playing those games and with that saber ever since.
