I just happened to load up MoTS for the first time in like 3 years, and I noticed that the music that plays during the opening sequence sounds eerily like something from The Matrix.

Go try it, make sure I'm not loosing my mind.

Which opening music? I don't recall anything that sounded like that durning the flashing of the LEC logo. After that is the text scroll and after that is the first level... Is the level what you're talking about?

I'd plug it in and find out, but I'm too damn lazy to right now.
