Why didn't anyone tell me about Soldat?!

So, my recent game purchases have been big mistakes. Guild Wars lasted 20 minutes before it got boring as hell. Thief: Deadly Shadows was... Thief 2 with prettier graphics. I already beat this game.. yawn. I was beginning to think I was growing out of games or something, when I discovered the beauty of Soldat. My god this game rocks. My life has purpose again.

Soldat is awesome.

I was disappointed in Battlefield 2. It was *exactly* like BF1942.. Of course, what do you expect from EA? Original titles are like poison to them.

Except for the squads system, the better graphics (okay, so that doesn't matter as much) the lack of lag, the bigger maps, and all that rubbish. Oh yeah, and basically the fact that it's every vehicle redone for modern combat, which is why people bought 1942...for Desert Combat...

In the end, the mods will end up making BF2.

Soldat's fun, but only lanned. Online and by yourself it just gets old and lame after a short short time.

I think I'm the only person in the world who doesnt like Desert Combat and would rather play with Thompsons, Shermans, Panzers, and Spitfires any day.

I'm just disappointed as I hear that BF2 won't have any middle-east vs. People's Republic o' China scenarios. It's really not that far-fetched.

I gather that none of the scenarios are set on U.S. soil either. PRC invading Alaska wouldn't be too far of a stretch.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

*raises hand*

I thought Desert combat was lame. Bring on the M1 Carbines, the Garands, the Kar98s, your Mosin Nagants and your discarded MG-42s!

I still play that game some times.

I use the MP5 and Ruger a lot.

Also, I hope that they get a Pirates mod for BF2.

I think the fact that BF2 is a whole lot of rubbish is all you got going for your argument.

WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME YOU PEOPLE PLAYED SOLDAT?!

We need a Massassi server. Seriously, that'd be so wicked.

Email me if anybody wants to play a few rounds.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

I agree except BF1942's rendition of the World War II era was piss poor.

I loved the Pirates mod, and Road to Rome was my favorite of the expansions. I hated Desert Combat. It didn't have my engineer class :( I loved placing land mines AND explosives on enemy air craft carriers.
