RIP: Roxanne...

For those of you who don't know, Roxanne is my 2 yr old boxer. She died this afternoon. I just got done buring her in my backyard close to the property line. Best dog I've ever had. I wish that she could have been around to be with my son when he gets born..

:( Really sorry to hear that. I know that losing a pet hurts - it's a feeling that no one deserves to experience.

I've not lost a pet, but I can only imagine what it will be like when my dog does finally die. She's come close, so I know what the hurt is like, but not to your magnitude. I'm sorry.

I am so sorry
I've never had a pet, but I can only imagine that it was the best time of your life. Remember Roxanne for the fun times, don't dwell on the sadness. I'm not going to tell you to move on, that would be and insult to your memories of Roxanne. Don't go out and get a new dog to replace her, you'll constantly want him/her to be exactly like Roxanne. Give yourself time to grieve, time to remember, and when the only things that you remember about her are the happy times, then you can let go.

May you be strong and have support from friends and family when you need it.

Sorry to hear that. Sucks to loose a loved family pet. :(
We had to have our 11 year old dog put down about 5 years ago now.
Sad stuff.

Lost my dog of 15 years last 4th of July, so I know how it feels. If you're particularly attached to your dogs (as I am), it'll take a bit for you to get over the feeling of loss.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

My dog, Barney, was hit by a car about 2 years ago and eventually died from his injuries. Sorry about your loss. :(

Update: My wife wanted a new dog badly, so we went looking at some boxer pups yesterday. Put a deposit on a nice male pup. Won't ever replace Roxanne, but he will make a nice dog I thinks. Picking him up on my wife's birthday in a month.
