Don't our politicians have anything better to do?

apparently not.

It's amazing that they are causing so much controversy over a USER-CREATED MOD, that unlock features not normally accessable in the original unmodded game. Plus, the game is rated M, so I see no problems with explicit sex-related content, especially since the choice of unlocking this content is entirely up to the user.

Want to know the easiest way to avoid this kind of legal (or legislative, lol) trouble in the future? Have a disclaimer on the box that says "Game experience may change with third-party modifications", in the wake of the popular "Game experience may change with online play" that is found on all multiplayer games.

Better not tell him about God of War. The game shipped with naked girls and sex!

Seriously though, this guy's a twit. He's been at it for years. Think of him as the California very of Joe Lieberman. Heh, I bet he hasn't even seen the game or what the mod actually does.

From article:

"Assemblyman Yee has been on a crusade for years to undermine the integrity of the ESRB, and in so doing, generate support for his legislative agenda."

he's just doing this for his own ends. Can you say conflict of interest?

Heh. California Assemblyman. I am the least bit surprised. Even more so since he's from district 12 which is San Francisco.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
