No, this post is not spam; I mean it!
I recently got back from a Mission Trip, and it got me thinking about humanity in general - love, hate, the ties that build and the tears that destroy. I am a Christian, but not your typical Christian - I believe we as humans have perverted our original purpose for living with the fall, but I also believe that we are made in the image of God and, unlike many conservative Christians, that we are capable of both great evil and great love. We have only distorted our existence, but we have not destroyed it, and it's times like these, when I survey my life of nearly 17 years thus far, that I realize just how much I have to be thankful for, and what great things might be in store for me in the future.
I have passionate dreams, unrealistic dreams, but I know that even when my expectations let me down, those who love and support me will restore me, and my God will never fail, even when I doubt my very existence - my very purpose for living.
I am a complex person, I am also a very emotionally extreme person, but I am reassured by the moderation I try to hold in life, the love I offer and the love I receive. I am open-minded, but I am also willing to stand up for what I believe in. I have a hope, I have faith, and I also have love to get me through the hard times and remind me of what the future holds if I remain determined.
This mission trip reminded me of my many blessings, and reminded me of the many needs of others. It reminded me of the love people are capable of, and it also reminded me of the spiritual satisfaction of returning that love. This may be an on-line Star Wars community, but you guys have always been here for me. I will try to return the favor.
With Love,
