I know a few of you guys like the Superman game I made with Game Maker (http://forums.massassi.net/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34034 ), so i decided to post an incomplete short little demo of the first game I ever WORKED on.
The game is titled Sledge Hammer!, after the popular 1980’s comedy. Some of you might not remember seeing re-runs of this but others do. I don’t know if there are any other true “Hammerheads” amongst us but I thought I might give it a shot. The controls are simple:
Left Arrow= Left
Right Arrow= Right
Down Arrow= Climb Down
Up Arrow= Jump/Climb Up
Space= Shoot (.44 Magnum revolver)
The obvious areas of needed improvement are:
1) Making the character’s legs move (just developed a code for that, but needs a few bugs tweaked out).
2) Re-Stitching the background (a 2-hour job for a game like this).
3) Completing it (you end up with a blue screen just press “ESC”).
Well this is just a small demo that I thought some Massassians would just like to try. Granted this game DEFINITELY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!!! That’s where you guys come in, as I need suggestions like a few I got to modify my Superman game. If you come to bash the game and say it’s horrible, and I should never post any of them again, this is NOT the place. Well tell me what else needs to be done besides the top 3 things I listed above, and your suggestions will be copy and pasted as a guideline to help me, as well has having your name in the credits (like the Superman game).
