For me, its people that abuse the conc in no force games. Force pull is your only real defense against a conc or any explosive weapon, and in no force games, it really pisses me off when people run around concing everything in sight from long distances. I'm a saberist, and i like getting in close and taking people on mano a mano. In a FF game, there's nothing I like better than ripping that damn conc or railgun out of your hands and gutting you with the saber.

Shooting someone with a conc when they just have a saber and a bryar right after they respawn is a really cheap way to get a kill in my opinion. It's like killing someone when they have their fists out and are obviously away from the game for a few minutes to take a leak or something.

Specific to JK or in general?

JK is preferable, but any game will do.

another thing that is annoying is when people are spawn camping and kill you when you are mounting a weapon or getting their saber out.

A few games ago on the JK server, there was this guy that hid in the crawl space area in the NS loading terminal with a conc and blasted the s*** out of anyone that came through there while hiding in the darkness. There was no way that anyone could get in there to ambush him w/o being seen and he just camped there. Coward.

in stock JK, no.

In SBX for MOTS, I think it can. You don't have access to the conc in SBX JK, so I'm not sure.



The server cycles maps, so I get killed a lot in maps like NS loading terminal and canyon oasis, but I get my revenge in Valley of the Jedi Tower and Battleground Jedi.

Seriously, I acknowledge that it is a game, and arbitrary and unimportant simulation designed for simple amusement. However, this is no reason to act like the dredges of humanity just because you can go around calling yourself GodSniper934 or mUtHa****Er.


There are cheap moves and cheap weapons in every game, the Conc in JK, the backstab in Outcast, the dagger dash in Gunz, and I am willing to forgive them, in moderation. If you suddenly find yourself with the Conc rifle, Its ok to be a bit aggressive for a while, but when you die, back off, chose another weapon and have some fun. Some people are obsessed with getting the top score in the game, but I personally give far more respect to the person who got second score by using a variety of weapons, or the guy who got third score only using the saber or the repeater.

And yes, I am one of those people who bow's before a duel. Sure it may seem a bit asinine, but I would rather win with honor that is apparent, that with dishonor that can never be hidden.

Backstab in JO? When's the last time you played??? That was patched a LONG time ago. About the only unbalanced thing is kicking, but if your good at it also, it makes no difference.

haha, it's you people that I hate the most about the game. Just play, and stop *****ing because you can't beat people. Want to have fun? Than don't try to have fun by winning honorably and get better. What fun is it if we have to limit ourselves in a game so that YOU can have fun. I respect people, and honor them, but I don't use some **** weapon just to please them and make them feel like they can kill me. Then again, I kill with all weapons; slong as it's got projectiles.

God invented Friendly Fire for idiots in CSS. Clip them once in the foot every round and they kill you repeatedly. Forced temp ban after 4 TKs. I win.

Concs are meant to be avoided. Also getting up close is good because of JK's netcode, direct hits are not very easy. The railgun is also good to kill them up close. Stick them with rails or if you think you can, a direct hit usually kills because of the debris things that deal direct damage to the health.

Back when I played DOD on a decent connection I hated people who called you a coward for taking cover. In DOD I always loved doing the things the enemy would never ever expect. Like going prone behind really low debris and sandbags in the wide open, they don't even see you there, and there's always someone to whine about it.

Annoying people. Not to mention if the MP just sucks, which it usually does.

The saber in SBX deflects 'concbullets'... also in JK. (Try Single Player) You can even Force Push the concbullet back, if you time it right.

People who complain about people who use whatever is available to try and win the game. If it's possible in the game without hacks and it's not against server rules, it's fair game.

People that begin to lose and accuse everyone of using "hax".

Personally, I hate people who whine about "conc whoring"(Not intended toward you, PW, just people in general).

I SORT OF agree, but in CS:S I know, the Autosniper, Shotgun, and Autoshotty are supremely imbalanced. The autosniper is a semi-automatic scout, and the shotty and autoshotty can get headshots or one hit kills from across the map with ease. Note that these guns' accuracy isn't affected by jumping, crouching, or anything, and every other guns' accuracy is. But hopefully that'll get patched soon. It's at least not so imbalanced that they're unstoppable.

Hiding in a small space and blasting people if they come near is cowardly.

It sounds like your strategy is flawed. If your evasion tactics are so poor that you can't keep getting a Concussion Rifle yourself, partially control the Light/Dark Surges, mana, powerups, and ammo, the other player is obviously beating you because they're more skilled. You seem to be under the misconception that games should be totally based on weapon skill. That player is tearing you up with the Concussion Rifle because your strategy is flawed and you refuse to adapt to that sort of hardcore gameplay. People that play like that are simply using the tools in which the developers gave them. There's nothing wrong with that. They're simply playing the game the way it was intended to be played. People shouldn't be forced to throw away all of their strategy just because you want to limit the game to how you want it to be played.



It sounds like they're lazy spawners. Before one even clicks their mouse to spawn, they should be aware of all the possible spawn points for each map, and what tactics they can use to get away, if they happen to spawn next to someone with a so-called better weapon. A Lightsaber and decent movement techniques hardly make someone a victim.



And you kept running in there to get blasted? In real-life, do you go running towards people who are aiming bazookas at your face? You would obviously use another strategy to take this person out. Mine the possible exits, and leave him in there to play with himself, for instance. After he realizes that the people outside the vent are raking up all of the kills, he'll pop back out and blow himself to hell on your mines, or you'll take him out by 3rd-person corner camping. What's wrong with dropping in for a split second and smacking him in the face with a Thermal Detonator before you jump back out? I get so many kills with thermals in NSLT that it's insane (even against experienced Concers).

There's nothing wrong with enjoy lightsabers more, but pretending like playing the game the way it was intended to play is somehow cheap or unfair is simply being in denial. While JK isn't perfect, once you get to a point, it's relatively well-balanced. Most people, including so-called expert players (Oasis, Ji O, and Merc O2 whores), simply don't take enough time to appreciate the other weapons.

Furthermore, I have played people who counter my strategy excellently by loading the place up with mines, and also going to the pit near the elevator and firing shots down the tunnel, which makes it very difficult for me to stay down there.

Also I get tons of kills in certain games running up close to an enemy with a conc and bryaring him to death, believe it or not. The common belief is that the bryar dosen't cause much damage, but that is just silly.

God, it's been so long since I played any "real" multiplayer. I just recall that my experiences were never that enjoyable. JK probably was the most fun, seeing as how I would play with people from here, with mods etc etc. I remember the backstab problem in JO, which I always thought was just a bug that was avoidable. I remember people going arounf just gripping and throwing you off a bridge or the equivalent. Of course, that was my fault for not choosing Absorb beforehand. I've mellowed in my old age I suppose.

Everyone complains about the dagger dash in Gunz. It isn't cheap at all. When someone has a dagger you can easily jump or simply side step away from their attack.Plus, if you have any accuracy whatsoever, you should be able to kill them before they dagger you. I'm one of the people who constantly daggers people but never gets daggered himself, because it's so freaking easy to dodge.

That reminds me in CS_Italy when I was using the hostage as a meat shield. The silly CT that was left always killed hosties down to one left so it'd be easier, so he came in the room and used an auto shottie.

The hostage went down and he got kicked for killing too many hostages. <3

I also hate binds like O{==L0L==}O People that are too lazy to type in three letters need to get some exercise.

People who whine about camping in military games.
I've been playing alot of Counter-Strike/Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield lately, and I hate whiners who ***** about camping, I mean, I can see it gets annoying if someone stays in the same spot the whole game, but camping around a corner if you know someone is going to run by is okay by my standards.

I'm goog at JO, and there was this dude who was a "lunge whore" atleast thats what they called him, any how, at then end of our duels, he had like 2 health, and he called me a noob, and when I killed him fair and square, he would go to the admins and say that I was hacking....
