I need advice...

I know you you guys aren't doctors but I need some advice. About two weeks ago I was cleaning my shower with bleach to get rid of black mold on the shower curtain and at the base of the shower. I turned on the shower to its warest setting. I did this too rinse out the shower. I came in five minutes and got the room was filled with a bleach fume/steam combination. I turned off the shower gasping for air. I went out side and got some fresh air. I felt fine at first. A few hours later I went work and began to feel lightheaded.
I was sent home an hour into work. I thought it was the effects of the bleach. I felt sick the rest of the week. I had a constant headache, chest pain, muscle pain, fatuige and some memory loss. The next weekend I went to work and I felt lightheaded again. I was send home again. My mom, a nurse, said I might have diabetes or something. I investigated my shower and I found that the mold was not all removed. That was getting me sick. Should I see a doctor? How do I convince my parents who think I'm find to take me?
Thanks.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

did you mix the bleach with any ammonia-based cleaner? Thats a very, very bad thing to do b/c the resulting chemical reaction releases nice toxic chlorine gas.

Bleach all by itself isn't that dangerous, but chlorine certaintly is.

Tip: Use a breath mask next time you clean with Bleach.

but chlorine is chemically different than bleach, so they are not the same thing.

There are differnt kinds of bleach. The one you guys are talking about is sodium hypochlorite...or commonly known as Chlorine Bleach. Mixing bleach and other cleaners can create toxic chloramine gases.

Mmm....toxins.

Just don't take any more showers. I'm sure that lightheadedness will soon be the LEAST of your problems.

I think perhaps when you poured hot water, it caused the bleach to evaporate & mix with the steam, causing you to breath in far mor than you would have otherwise. I've had my shower cleaned with bleach using a spray bottle, and nothing like that ever happened.
