I got this the other day, despite everyone telling me it sucks.

It's actually ALOT of fun. What I like most is that it's easy to get into, and isn't overly complex. The missions also make it feel like you're accomplishing something in the game universe, instead of being random crap.

The battle system is fun.

AI characters are actually smart enough to CHASE you passed obstacles. Thats actually sorta annoying, but cool none the less. I was fighting a ton of dudes up on top of a building, and I was using my knockback moves to throw them off. It was hella fun.



Does anyone else have COH? I play on Pinnacle, with my characted "Prototelis."

I used to play City of Heroes and it was fun. I like the enviroment a lot better than what is in WoW, what I play now. However, I quit it for two reasons. 1) No pvp. 2) I didn't see any real motivation to level.

There is some pvp now in the arena.

I played the 2 week trial of CoH on justice as The Blue Stroke [no pics :(] but got bored by the time I got to level 25.

The combat's really fun though.

I just wish CoH was more......well, I don't know what it is. I love everything about CoH, but it's just missing something that WoW has, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I found CoH to me no more than quest after quest after quest with nothing else to really do. Hopefully City of Villians will change that.

CoH is the only MMORPG I've ever liked.

It was a lot of fun for a while, the character creation system is genius.

Yeah, it was awesome fun while it lasted, just all got a little samey after a while.

I used to have a Claws/Regen Scrapper and a Kinetics/Energy Defender, both were over level 50 but I dont remember exactly. Kinetics was such an awesome powerset, so many good memories of walking around mauling stuff that really should have been mauling us thanks to her buffs and boosts.

CoH has the best travel system ever in a MMORPG (Super Speed + Super Jump), and IMO the single best power ever in a MMORPG, Fulcrum Shift.

Oh, and I'm a blaster. Generic Energy blaster.. I didn't want to go elemental damage, that seemed silly when I could do generic energy damage.

Uhmm, my secondary power pool is the gadgets power pool, caltrops > you.

And yeah, I'm working on getting super speed and super jumping.

Blasphemy.

You should have gone with Ice and Fire.

Used to play an Elec/Energy blaster on Virtue. The Story arcs are immensely fun, and its great how you can solo or play in a group through them (I preferred soloing through most of the arcs, and going for TFs for group play)

Its a good MMO that can be picked up and put down easily, you dont have to spend half an hour preparing to have fun.

They need to hurry and come out with City of Villians so I can play City of Heroes again and actually be interested in it.

I might play it once City of Villains is out also. (I'm guessing that'll be during the winter, which is the time I do play MMORPGs)

That character looks cool!

I have a level 26 Martial Arts/Super Reflexes scrapper, and it's the only combination of skills I've ever liked. It kicks so much ***....

CoH has the second best character creation system I've ever seen.

Scary, has CoH really been out for 8 months? It feels like it was only 2-3 months ago.

It's been out over a year on the other side of the pond.

City Of Villians isn't an expansion pack, it's a standalone game.



The company that makes COH has a post-apocalyptic themed mmorpg coming out that has battle cars and what not.
