Simulation games?...
2005-07-16, 6:06 PM #1
Well, somehow I had to get rid of all my sim games, and I'm in a really big mood of some... I wanna know if there are any free human life simulating games that I can play? I'm also looking for MMO or MMORPGS, that aren't boring, like the ones I've been playing recently... any one know any? Thank you...

P.S. Its gotta run on Windows ME...

Oy... I took me a fiew tires to get it working.

If you are running a multiple monitor system, good luck, the device enumeration can get messed up. First thing I would recommend is to enable "always enumerate device" under the display options tab, and try the different devices in order. Beyond that, check with the forums on www.orbitersim.com They are usually pretty helpful with technical issues.

I highly suggest Allegiance. If I understand you correctly, you'd like it. It's free, and is a cross between RTS and flight sim. I can't remember the site off the top of my head however...

Err, I found the solution, but screw it, I'm not going to an older video card driver...

I found the Allegiance site, will give it a try... I'm really looking for games like GTA: SA or anything that tries to recreate life in a simulation...

EDIT: 511 MB? no, cause I'm not even sure I'll like it, even though I could get it in like 1-2 hours...

Allegiance is all multiplayer, and the flying is amazing. You drift around and shoot stuff, and the commander builds stations, turrets, minefields and research things. The playing field is devided into sectors, and you take alephs into each one. Two teams battle it out and stuff.

One thing that I really like is the Aleph Resonator. Bomb that blows up a lot of **** on both sides of an Aleph. <3

It is now...

Believe it or not, Microsoft released the game OPEN SORCE!
well, technically it was Microsoft research Hong Kong, but still.

Allegiance was a great game, but the community was rather stiff and jaded, and it took a LOT of effort to be serious about that game. I had to give up Allegiance before going to college, and have not had the time to get back into it.

Freeciv?

Really, if you want anything free, the only place to go is http://www.gamehippo.com

They had a simulation section a while back, but they've restructured their site, and I don't know if they still have it.

I hear real life is free these days too. And it's more of a real life type of sim.. you'll love it. You can totally customize your character, buy thousands of types of clothes, look for thousands of jobs, buy any house you want.. heck, you can do anything.
