Funny story about my brother's wedding
2005-07-17, 4:30 PM #1
So my brother got married yesterday and afterwards at the reception I was hanging around talking to this blonde who was like 20 or 21. Well my 10 year old niece was playing on the piano and I told the blonde girl that she should go show my niece how to play. Well she went over, sat down and began playing the piano and I went over and kept talking, not flirting at all. A few moments later my niece leans over and says in this loud whisper "Scott likes you."

The blonde girl turns to my niece and goes "He's my cousin."
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

....move to Alabama?

My brother is getting married at the end of July... I'm really creeped out, he's only 2 years older than me and his fiance is supremely conservative... she got mad at him for having a glass of wine with dinner. Like mad, mad. It's going to be awkward. Any advice? Other than make sure who is related to you?

Tell me
How was I supposed to know we were both related?
Believe me, if I knew she was my cousin we never would have dated
What to do now? Should I go ahead and propose
And get hitched and have kids with eleven toes
And move to Alabama where that kind of thing is tolerated?

@schming

If his fiance gets mad over something simple like wine, what's holding the relationship?

'cause he's weird like that too. Very conservative, traditional values and all that ****. He does know where the line between normal nagging and ridiculous is though, but he's getting fatter by the month and so he might as well get married now.

no truer advice has been said.
People of our generation should not be subjected to mornings.

I always get bored at weddings, attended two so far, and just got bored at the back and hardly did anything.

The bridesmaids weren't hot either, it was blasphemy.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

Yeah the bridesmaids should definitely be hot, if not your distant cousins.

I had a lot of fun at my brother's wedding. Of course, it was in Las Vegas, I was drunk more than I wasn't and there were a lot more single women in their mid to late twenties than there guys in the same age range. Work out very well.

oh I knew Mandy was my cousin, hence why I put in my original post that I was NOT flirting with her. My niece was just being a kid though, she couldn't tell the difference.

And none of the bridesmaids were hot.

That's why you have to get hammered. ;)
