I'll be down in Topeka, Kansas at the race track this week. The racing will take place Tues-Thurs. I'll be with the University of Missouri - Columbia Solar Car Team. We will be racing our solar car along with Rolla and several other teams around the nation. If any of you are in the area this week, it would be a cool event to check out. You'd get to see $100,000 cars race around the track at not-so-high speeds. And you could meet a Massassian.

Nobody cares? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

If anybody, anybody does care, racing starts Wednesday, not Tuesday.

I care. I can't make it though. Solar car racing is the ultimate in next gen alternative fuel sources.

I've never heard of solar car racing.

Speaking of solar cars... Anyone notice the big increase of television ads for hydrogen and hybrid cars lately?

My brother did that, raced a solar-powered car right down the middle of Australia from Darwin to Adelaide.

He had fun. You should too [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I might be working on the internal trusses on our univerity's solar or hybrid car next academic year depending on the final year project I get assigned - it's cool stuff.

(I'll be using genetic programming to optimise the structure!)

Pity it'll be (a) next year, (b) in Durham which is in this case is (c) in the UK.

Best of luck though!
