Hey everyone,

I was thinking of installing Republic Commando and sitting down to a nice evening of gaming since my girlfriend isn't returning calls tonight... but that's a story for another thread.

Anyways how is this game? Is there anything I should expect or is it pretty standard?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

RC is one of those games that you start, and a don't stop until 20 hours later when you beat it. But, since I beat it on hard, I haven't had the urge to play through it again.

i hope they make a sequel... maybe have a moment in the sequel where they are moving to some location (maybe while looking for [insert spoiler here]) and they hear over the radio... "order si*static*"

i'd hate for those guys to actually recieve that order

The ending of the game in concert with Episode III left me with a couple of questions:

1: Exactly when in relation to Episode III does the final mission in Kashyk take place?

2: If "Sev" was captured at the end, ans presumably survived (hey, how else is LEC going to have source material for a sequal?), would he have ever even recieved Palpatine's order?

But yea, on the whole, great game (if you don't count LEC's sub-par job designing a few of the levels, the fact that some levels litterally consist of 1 room, and the fact that the AI makes the bots in JA look like geniuses). Now if only MP were a bit better (maybe some vehicles or bigger maps). (*walks off muttering/ranting to self).

i think its a fun game, not a very long game but well worth the $20 that it probably is now.

It's a fun game, but they really should have made a proper SDK instead of a somewhat silly editor.

Then again, no one would have edited it even if it had a proper SDK.

Well I haven't been able to try it yet, I got a new hard drive last night and I was only able to get Fedora on it before I went to bed. So tonight I might get XP working and then Republic Commando.
