Umm.. damn.. I was so disappointed.

By no means a bad film, but it lacked EVERYTHING that I liked about the first one. Granted there was killing, and carnage... but that isn't what made the first film.

It had NONE of Zombie's "old monster movie" feel that you get out of his videos and house of 1000 corpses. no inverted shots, nothing artistic hardly at all. and I'm not even just talking about the zombies and stuff in house of 1000... I am talking about the over all feel you get from Capt. Spaulding's gas station.. and pretty much the way the whole murder ride was presented.

You don't feel as terrified because you are out in the open with these killers instead of "in their house which they know every inch of.. and can get out an any second".

It also added a "HUMAN" like quality to all the charactors, which I hated completely.

They charactors seemed much much less crazy and more like normal people. The most inventive way they killed someone was with a gun. (as opposed to House of 1000 where they would dress up in crazy costume, perform almost rituals, scalp people.. chop their hands off, and my favorite, feed them to Dr. Satan.)

Plus the use of un-needed CG was horrible.

To me this movie was a below average movie, but a HORRIBLE sequal to House of 1000 Corpses.

Why on earth would anyone want to see a movie directed by Rob Zombie?

I've heard The Devil's Rejects was much better than 1000 Corpses. Everyone I know says House of 1000 Corpses sucked.

House of 1000 Corpses was awesome.. don't believe the mass public.. they just thought it was stupid cause it didn't have a happy ending.. the new movie takes care of that quite well though...

The majority of people out there are stupid and wouldn't know art if it bit them. Which is why hollywood sucks so bad now days.

It's a very good flick.. done very artistically.. but i'm sure stupid people look at house of 1000 corpses, they will instantly pass judgement that it is a stupid "shoot em up" blood bath movie, and nothing else.... which is exactly what Devil's Rejects is... very disappointing...

Rob Zombie needs to just give up on the "murdering" thing, and make a movie with gouls and zombies in it.... I'd love to see that.

Suprisingly he's not a bad director, I had the same sceptism when I saw House of 1000's Corpses. It's to bad the Devil's Rejects didn't live up to 1000's Corpses to some people, I'm still going to see it but I think I'll see Land of the Dead first.

maybe it's not art, maybe it was just made as a bit of a laugh.

i'd know art if it bit me, i'm picturing some sort of purple/orange fish with crazy eyes.
