Recently I've been playing Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source, Civilization III, World of Warcraft(which I'm getting bored of and will probably cancel my account soon), tried to get into City of Heroes again(and failed miserably), and I've been trying for the life of me to get my Ground Control II to work. I've been getting generally bored though. Does anyone know of any good games I can use to occupy my time until my classes start? I've been looking at Ghost Recon 2. Not sure if it's worth it though.

Did you try HL2: DM for a spin? It's not as bad as everyone says it is. Team deathmatch and CTF are quite fun.

The rocket launcher is overly powerful, thats the only thing I find wrong about HL2DM.
nope.

Not really. Good shots with the Revolver or the Bowcaster will take out any rocket launcher guy. (better at a distance)

You've already named the best games out there right now. If you're becoming bored with WoW, you must be bored with the genre in general. If you're bored with games in general, I'd suggest taking a break. When I get bored with games, I distance myself from them for a couple of weeks.

Warcraft 3. It's really underrated. Between that and CS:S, my time is filled.

But WC3 really is a lot better if you learn how to micro, then how to macro your race (micro is using individual units to their fullest extent and macro is your build order, etc). Either way, you'd need to get both WC3 and The Frozen Throne to have much fun with it, but they're only 40 bucks together in a battlechest.

Just started playing Age of Mythology again. You should give it a try, lots of fun.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are one of the hundreds of parachuting enthusiasts who bought our "Easy Sky Diving" book, please make the following correction: on page 8, line 7, the words "state zip code" should have read "pull rip cord."

Get JK.
Play it.
Get a mod for it.
Play it again.
Rinse and repeat.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Why is the answer to why always why? Why is there no final answer to why? Simply why not? Holy cow, this is pretty deep, meaningful **** I wrote. Glad I wrote it down. Oh man."

Rome: Total War is an excellent superb sweet RTS that would be an intelligent buy if one did not own it but liked RTSs.
