Steam breaks my cap, I swear to god. It downloads Counter-Strike in 10 minutes. That's about a 500 mb file. It's ludacris.

My friend was telling me steam would take me forever to dld. I downloaded it from their site in a split second. I never even saw the window telling me how much had been downloaded.

The first couple of seconds of a download are sometimes at speeds much higher than normal.
I've had 3MB files download in one second before. Or 5MB files download in 2 or 3 seconds before.
That is not my normal speed.

I've gotten over 400KB/s, and my connection is supposedly capped at around 250. It was hilarious the first time my friend and i saw our speeds in excess of 300, and that was when it was capped at 150 .

Is Darwin really worth downloading? It's not like you get Cocoa or Quartz with it. Might as well just use FreeBSD instead of its ******* child.

Very nice. Try using flashget when you download stuff from steam. Your connection will be like yoda on speed.

First it downloads at insane speeds, then it starts downloading more then there is in the file... I don't even know whats up with all that.
