My aunt had in her possession a fully dramatized recording of the three Dark Forces books: Soldier for the Empire, Rebel Agent, and Jedi Knight.

The whole thing is, in a word, spectacular. It's AS GOOD AS the original Radio Dramas from the trilogy. I'm not quite sure that the voices are the same, but I assume they are.

Anyways, I'm in an extremely giving nature, and frankly, I don't know how many of these things were sold or exist. So....

I had just come home for my father's birthday, and found them in a box of stuff Mom said was mine. As soon as I saw them, I thought...uh, is there a Dark Forces game box that looks like those books? Then, when I opened it up, there were the 3 sets of 2 discs for the books. It's really good, with different sound effects and everything.

I'm looking for other information about this...I'm surprised I haven't heard about this before.

I'll get back to the emails as soon as they're encoded and ready for mirroring.

I remember finding a copy of the first book in my Library, at least I think it was one of these books. I just put in Dark Forces in the search and up popped an Audio Book then I was like "i'm gonna be lazy" and I took it out. any ways email sent.

Audio books are so good. All the imagination involved in reading (as opposed to TV), but none of the effort!

Although I'm sending this in an email back to those who've sent it, I wanted to post as to not get anymore emails...

My digital copies of the audio cds that I actually own are on my website at this address Dark Forces Audio Book each book is seperated into a folder and contains 2 1hour mp3s at variable bit rate.

Please be aware that my webserver may be very slow for downloading, and that any offers of mirrors would be very helpful.

Also be aware that these are my own legally owned digital versions of cds I own. So, if you found them and used them without actually owning the media...well, that could be a bad thing.

I hope you all enjoy them!

I managed to download the two Jedi Knight parts and I'm halfway of disc one of soldier of the empire. Unfortunately I only have 100mb of FTP space so I can't upload it. I should be able to send anyone who wishes the JK audiotracks via DCC on IRC (I can upload with 1mb/s so it should be going pretty fast). Just highlight my name (vedder) in #massassi or something.

I'm currently working as hard as I can to upload to ReT's server. Still, everyone has managed to force my server to restart. (apologies to anyone who was downloading, but you killed the poor box.)

If someone could help me figure out where to upload the tracker for the torrents I've made, then that's another way to get them.

Hey all,

I'm still waiting for any information about seeding the torrent files. I don't mind doing that as well as the HTTP. My FTP server took some kind of dirtnap and I'm working to get it to restart, but I fear the worst.

I *think* ReT should have all the files uploaded (cause I uploaded them) and he might be able to tell you where to get them from....

Again, I hope everyone enjoys them, and we can discuss them when someone else has taken a listen!!
