Still being debated over somewhat, however, I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

Again?

IMHO the question is whether Pluto is a planet.

Guys, the one they found like two years ago was classified as a planetoid after some debate. If this turns out to be a planet, it will be #10.

Christ.

We've already had like two #10's in our solar system.

Make up your damned minds already!

Lets just cut the system line off at pluto and stop blowing cash on orbiting snow cones.

Theres no light that far out. No light = NO heat. I'd say no chance for ANY kind of life. Even if there was it'd probably be quite unfriendly.

Many people consider NASA a "meaningless program". I'm almost one of them. Anyway this was found by the Palomar Observatory, probably unrelated to NASA except for the space part. I retract my money coment.

Yes, because the whole purpose of exploring and observing space is to discover life on other worlds.

No light far out where? If you're talking outside out solar system you're very, very very wrong.

If light didn't make it that far we wouldn't be able to see it...

wouldnt it be easier to just make a chart of satellites and classify them by what they're made of instead of debating what a "planet" is...
