It was finally released today. I just played it for 5-6 minutes, and I'm very impressed. There's definately a comeback in the genre, with this, Gish, and (soon) Alien Hominid. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically a side-scrolling shooter based on Half-Life 2. Only thing is, you can only get it through Steam.

For some reason, after about 5 minutes of playing, it slows down to the point where I cant aim at all. Havent been able to figure out why. What I've played of it so far is pretty good though.

I can't say I'm impressed that it was released through Steam... I'm annoyed enough that I can't play Natural Selection... I already have Half Life! I don't want to download the whole damn thing just to play a mod!

Anyway, the game was quite slow, and I thought the weapons were a bit weak (kept true to Half Life in that way, though...). It was also annoying that if you fell down a pit or something you had to go WAY back to the start of the level, especially since the jumping was a bit dodgy...

I think with a bit more testing and fixing things up (and possibly making the game in something besides flash...) it could be really good, though.

Codename gordon wont even run for me.. it just starts up and exits straight away

The game slows down horrily for me if I have to use the flashlight or fight a boss. The 1st boss in the dunebuggy is unplayable for me.
