Where's the hut?
2005-08-05, 12:53 PM #1
Well, this has been bugging me for years.
Where is the hut in the Pizza Hut logo? Doesn't look like a hut to me. More like a hat. And the ironic thing is that "Hut" is the German word for hat, so that I believed for many years that Pizza Hut was in fact a German company, because it makes so much more sense.
Anyway, can any of you wise massassians enlighten as to how I should see this red thingy as a hut?

Sorry for the lousy German

It's the roof!

The Pizza Hut that used to be near me before it went out of buissness for being pure crap was shaped like that. The building was shaped like their logo.
Think while it's still legal.

All Pizza Huts are shaped like that. Real ones, anyway. If you see one that isn't shaped like that, don't believe it, it's fake.
DO NOT WANT.

"Hut" is actually the german word for a special kinda hat worn by millitary guys. I forgot all the details...but if that helps you any, yeah.

German word for hat is actually "Die Kappe".

Personally, I hate Pizza Hut.
And I also think that their logo should incorperate Jabba the Hutt in it.

[EDIT:] Found this: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hut

Guess that's what hut's are. Suncap thingies. And I guess you're right. Der Hut looks like the pizza hut logo.

But it says it was founded in Kansas.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_Hut

Pizza Hut is owned by a company called "Yuck! Brands", err, I mean, "Yum! Brands", which is located in Louisville, Ky. Ive had the great misfortune of doing some cratract work in their IT department.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Meh, show me one hut with a roof like that.
IMHO the typical Hut looks something like this:

The roof of the Pizza Hut is their logo. The roof and logo both look like the german sunhat, "Der Hut".

Pizza Hut is gross. Too greasy. (I'm picky)
2005-08-05, 2:22 PM #15
I assume that depends on which Pizza Hut restaurant you go to.

It looks like a hut to me. The red part is the roof. The walls aren't really there. THe red line under the words is the floor. Not that complicated,

It's the dough. There's too much bread (which is not very good) and not enough sauce. At least in India that's how it is.

Papa Johns > All

Actually Germany had the best pizza I've ever had...which is weird. We got a slice of pizza that was actually 3/4th of a LARGE pizza for like 2 Euros at one place. They made the pizza right there infront of you, it was nuts. 6 of us put in a euro each to get three 'slices' and we still had left overs. My god that was awesome pizza.
