I found the early drafts for the Star Wars script online the other day, and I realised that several of the things in there were used in the new movies.

For instance, there is a Velorum in the first couple of drafts, and the planet Otapau is used as well. Another interesting thing is the Kiber Crystal, which was later used as the Kaiburr Crystal in Splinter of the Minds Eye -- the first released Star Wars novel (back before ESB, actually).

I just figured I'd share.

Though a little esoteric, I love the early drafts. They have a certain lore-esque (loric?) appeal to them. They're far more noble and feel more ancient than anything written for the prequels these days.
