I think it's the same as the beta, which was out earlier. But yeah, I can't for it either. It looks like it has a better story than the first.

Started downloading this morning, got another 2 hours or so to go. I haven't followed this game much (at all, actually) but since I enjoyed the first one I figured I'd give this a shot and see how it is.

the first one was really fun in Network mode with my sis... single player sucked major butt

THis one looking good, was kinda hoping for major graphical improvements though. :(
This is not the sig you are looking for. Move along.

I loved the first one and the expansion. Definately looking foward to this..

The original was extremely mediocre, and this really doesn't seem like a major improvement in any way.

There's a lot more player control in this one, which was the biggest knock on the first one. There's also skill trees for all the classes. It plays more like a partied Diablo than a true RPG, but it's really fun. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll like this one a lot.

Got done playing it for about 10 minutes. Very fun, just like the first.
I like the skill tree thing and the fact that it sounds like you can't become a "jack of all trades" and be insanly good with the bow and melee weapon. But also hopefully magic is easier to play as. All the good spells always were way too high level / mana dependent... you could not be a magic user and play well.

One of the nice things about the sequel is that death is handled like a MMORPG so when your party dies, they get sent back to the nearest town and you can either run back to where your party died to get your party's equipment back or ask the guy near the teleporter to summon your equipment back at the cost of 25% of you money. There are teleporters set up throughout the world that you can access so if your party does die and you need to head back, you can just teleport back and run from there. Its much better than just dying and having to reload a saved game. Unfortunately, if you do reload a saved game, you're forced to resume at the nearest town which is a bit of a drag.

Started mine before work and it was done when I got back :)

Yea, this game is a bit harder than the first one. I'm having some trouble now. I'm off trying to burn the towers. No potions left and I'm getting owned.

I like SP a lot more in the demo than i did in the beta (though the beta still crushes it, as it actually has mp), but i still like certain elements of the original DS's opening better (first 10% of that game piz0nes anything later in the game, as well as the opening of DS2). At least we get to actually experience the landing at Geiylin Beach this time an see the Aegis of life which is a fragment of The Shield of The Defender, just like Drevin's amulet . Great. As if i didn't want the full game badly enough. DS2 definately seems like it has the chance to get better (but surely that map seen ingame can't be all of Arranna (where are Ehb, the Utrean Peninsula and the Lost Isle? Where is Arhok!?
